sketches

I did some sketches of sculptural, wall-mounted sinks inspired by natural water systems, where stone interrupts and redirects flow. Intended for the Museum of Modern Art, I wanted my sink to function as both a utilitarian object and a sculptural installation, allowing it to read almost as an optical illusion.

3d development

Modeled in SolidWorks, the faucet and sink were designed with a subtle forward tilt, directing water toward a concealed linear drain integrated into the front wall. This detail allows the water to visually disappear, reinforcing the illusion of uninterrupted flow. The form incorporates soft curves, wrinkles, and divots to evoke the irregular surface qualities of natural stone.
