brand study
Le Creuset is a heritage brand defined by premium cast iron, colorful enamel, and timeless durability. While their catalog spans from skillets to dinnerware, they currently lack countertop appliances. I identified this as a design opportunity to expand the brand into electronics with a toaster concept. The design language pulls directly from their signature cues: integrated looped handles, high-gloss finishes, concentric rings, and soft, rounded forms.

Signature Toaster

While Le Creuset frequently rotates colors, the brand’s core identity relies on a signature two-tone gradient that transitions from dark to light. To maintain brand authenticity, my concept utilizes these highly saturated, vibrant hues to match the existing products.

sketches
After exploring different iterations, I chose a final design that combined the strongest features from my initial sketches. This direction was selected because it best captured the heritage aesthetic of Le Creuset while functioning as a modern appliance.
